RACQ DIS, an earring line born 2007 in Milwaukee, WI is one of the fastest growing earring lines in the midwest. Designer, Paryrris Bealin who had been designing clothes since 2003 started broadening her horizons into earring designing when frustrated with the choices of reasonably priced artistic lines in the market. payrris states, "There was nothing (reasonably priced) that really jumped out at me or would make a statement if I had them on and walked in a room. I was looking for showstoppers...so I created them!" That is exactly what Payrris did, she sketched out her designs and decided that not only would her line have a unique look, but it would be made out of a material not commonly used for earrings.. leather! even after creating earrings that screamed "showstopper" she still went a step further and hand-painted each one, but don't be surprised if there are other artistic additions to a pair of racq dis one of a kind earrings. "how I feel at the time comes out in my designs, that's why there are no two pairs the same...it's truly my outlet for artistic expression", payrris calmly breathes. payrris jokes that the hardest part was choosing the perfect name for her line, "my older sis racquel has impeccable style not to mention she is my #1 supporter so I knew I wanted to incorporate her name if possible". she says it came to her when a satisfied customer picked up their clothing order and proudly shouted "I'm gonna rock dis for my birthday!" payrris says that is when it hit her...racq dis (pronounced rock dis), spelled like the beginning of her sister's name. she's been telling people to racq her earrings ever since! payrris' eyes light up, "I could have never imagined this would become this big....Estelle rocked (racq'd) my earrings when she was on tour in London! At first I was just making earrings for family and before I knew it, friends and referrals came pouring in. The orders became so large that I decided to temporarily walk away from designing clothes and fully focus on the earring line. This is my niche and I thank God that I found it...some never do."
